the 'West Side Studio Demos' bootleg, this alternate
version lacks some drums and has new synths. To be
found on the 'Notorious The Demos' bootleg on Voodoo

PROPOSITION (Demo Instrumental) 5:00

May/June at Davout Studios in Paris. Called
'Instrumental #3' - both Gabby and Ansgar think that
this could very well be an early demo for 'Proposition';
the drum pattern is similar, especially the cymbals.
Sounds like a possible 'embryo' version. To be found
on the 'Notorious The Demos' bootleg on Voodoo
Records. Nick: "... one of the very early ones - the
backing track was recorded in Paris where we wrote
the album. It's one of the things Simon liked when he
arrived".

assumed to be Andy Taylor on vocals and guitar. In
fact, only the wrong tape speed transfer of the demo
is distorting Simon's voice. Gerry Laffy and Andy had
the similar rock style, and also Andy wasn't even
around at the time. Demo supplied from several
